Thank (whichever) God for Indie Pop. Our favorite Utah grown artist, Buppy, is back on the scene showing us his final silky stringed single, "kyra!," off his upcoming EP names&places.
There's no doubt (in my mind) this song isn't about that cute alt girl who sat in class drawing instead of paying attention. Someone tell this septum-wearing girl to free this man from his shackles! After one listen, I found myself looking for this mysterious lady and chanting "come spend the night with me." The cute lyricism pairs perfectly alongside an overall Backseat Lovers vibe, with just the right amount of guitar solo on the backend.
Whoever Kyra is, and wherever she may be, just know Buppy poured his heart out on this track for you. If this doesn't warrant a text back, I don't know what will.
