4cf - no one

I’m such a sucker for double entendres. A cover art that looks like The Beatles and a song that sounds like a hidden Brockhampton leak. This is what it feels like when you see a Taco Bell mixed with a KFC. Underground superstar 4cf floods the market with his newest single, "no one" (No. 1). This is the first single from the artist since February, so it seems 4cf is taking sweet time with a (potential) project while letting his fans savor the singles like a 6-course meal.

The new offering kicks off with those alt guitar strings that 4cf is notorious for flowing on. Followed by a voicemail filter with a side of vocal fry, one can’t help but stare out the window. Lyrically, they speak about how words won't capture the feelings between the two lovers. 4cf touches on the theme of spending time together and an unbreakable bond, making it clear he doesn't want “no one” else. Towards the outro, it seems as if the car was kicked into 5th gear. An alt-rap flow stands out cleanly while also complementing the instrumental. The build-up leads us as the listener to get excited for part 2. My only complaint about this track is the time stamp! Two minutes and fourteen seconds is not enough time for me to mysteriously smoke a cigarette and pretend to be the main character.

Don't sleep when 4cf drops whatever is next; it will be one for the books.
