Buppy Finds Sonic Comfort In Emotional Distress On "Cold Nights In Hollywood"

If you couldn't already tell, I really love music, live and die by this shit, so when an artist furthers that love of it for me, I think they have something special. Buppy is one of those artists, and he's got an undeniable vision; pair that with a unique set of talents at only eighteen years old, and it seems like the sky is the limit for the rising creative. The most notable feature of Buppy's artistry (to me) is the emotions he flawlessly brings to the forefront of a track through sound, lyricism, and his transparently sentimental vocal tones. Every artist can say what they feel, but that’s only effective if listeners can feel what they say. Buppy vocalizes his feelings, and I'm suddenly sitting right there with him, wishing that person had never left or we could rewind time. The latest offering is no different, and Buppy communicates some of his most impressive aspects of consciousness on "Cold Nights In Hollywood."

A feeling of desperation dawns upon pressing play, where a sample of guitar and vocals instantly numb your ears with a bleak coating. Buppy lays an excruciating yet addicting chorus noting pain and loneliness, despite living in Hollywood, a place associated with dreams and fulfillment. Buppy details these agonizing feelings directed towards someone who left him lonesome, with such vivid lyricism that uses cold temperatures as a metaphor for heartbreak and despair. The setting easily ingrains itself in your head, and it seems Buppy truly finds sonic comfort in emotional distress.

The new offering is genuinely therapeutic for all parties involved, and I can't wait to see how many lives Buppy's music will touch when it's all said and done. Stream "Cold Nights In Hollywood" below.
