Vaeo's Growth is Fully Displayed on New EP 'junkie'

One of the most naturally talented artists in the new blossoming pop scene goes by Vaeo, and it doesn't take much convincing to recognize their gifts and pioneering vision. Any given Vaeo song is insanely catchy and well written, utilizing a range of influences including electronic, trap, rock, alternative pop, and more to present their unique sound. When high-level talent meets upscale progressive vision, the sound becomes unreplicable, and listeners have no choice but to revisit their music for that specific rush of sounds and feelings. It's a rare "high" that slowly fades over the years as our ears become more vulnerable and exposed, but all music lovers yearn to recapture those moments. Now building more of those pinnacle feelings, Vaeo returns for a new EP junkie.

The new project includes four tracks, all building on a common sonic theme but delivering distinctive flavors and colors. The first track, "bad bitch shit," is just as much of a self-acknowledgment as a flex. Vaeo encounters lonely feelings and fake friends but recognizes who they are and how they're perceived by people watching them; they don't have to attend to stupid things if it doesn't involve a bag or enjoyment. Track two, "stuck," is a simple yet powerful showing, where the vibrant chorus sounds like a remedy for Vaeo's nagging feelings over a concluded relationship. Track three, "dice," has Vaeo compare life's aspects to a game or a gamble, including coping mechanisms, commitment, and love. This song carries a cohesive package of Vaeo's sound, emitting relatability with a set of experimentally addicting tones. The final track, "poison," is a concluding theme tieing offering, presenting itself instantly with an exclamation; "I can't stand to look into my reflection anymore." This track gifts listeners an incredible chorus, where Vaeo admits they've become lost in translation and lost sight of what's important, regardless of social status or the taste of success in music. Featured artist rouri404 comes in for his take on losing himself, where a verse addresses a sort of habit, either a person or substance that has him losing sight of his core values.

Production is handled by BillsBuryJoeBoi and ria, who both accomplish extravagant sounds that thoroughly connect to Vaeo's vision.

With Vaeo's current trajectory, it's only a matter of time before their name is widely recognized and celebrated. Stream the new junkie EP below.
