Showjoe's Supplies Advancing Versatility on New Album 'Killua'

Hailing from Fairfax County, Virginia, Showjoe has been nothing short of impressive over the past year and some change. He's an artist whose talent has not yet gained the merited public recognition, but it's on the horizon. Showjoe's refurbished concepts and seemingly growing hunger for a fulfilling career are becoming evident and hard to miss, taking measures to experiment with his voice and vision while adding coatings to the sound he's crafting. His latest release, "Neon It 1700," efficiently demonstrated these concepts as he continues to peel back layers of aptitude and perception in an addicting and colorful blur of sound and writing. Now returning for his first album of 2022, and maybe the most diverse venture of his career, Showjoe releases Killua.'

The ten-track project holds many high points in well-built versatility and expansive talent, all formed in a diverse sphere of ballads and bangers. The intro, "Stop Talking $howjoe," is an exemplary track in which Showjoe seemingly offers the foundation of his sound, blending seamlessly into a futuristic direction that transitions to the aforementioned "Neon It 1700." Track three, "Bestie," starts a bit of experimentation in the flows and articulation, drafting a vivid display of flashiness, dedication, and work ethic. Track four, "Cartier," is an immediate stand-out, showcasing a pinnacle of Showjoe's gripping yet satisfying vocals that emanate from genuine talent. "Ali's Audi" hones more development as Showjoe offers his take on progressing regalia compositions, adding his style and distinctive artistry for a new and exciting sound in the face of broken feelings. Tracks six and seven, "Vs. You" and "Left Behind," although different in tone and substance, are incredibly well-written pieces that ride the momentum of their respective vocal sample production; two of the best this album has to offer. The final three tracks see Showjoe revert to a more familiar zone filled with pliable synthscapes and vibrant melodies, doing what he does best while keeping his expanding vision at the vanguard.
