Qualls Finds Growth & Purpose on New Album 'Until We Meet Again'

In case you didn't know, Qualls can rap. The Chatanooga, Tennesse native bridges gaps between the timelines of hip-hop and soul music, where hints of southern solace meet a bouquet of lyricism for a unique approach. Qualls earlier 2022 release, "Seen," marked his first song as a lead artist since 2022 while accompanying an evident growth in sound direction and writing. Now further cementing his name on the year, Qualls drops his new album Until We Meet Again.

The new project contains eleven songs that build out his soul-stirring and genre-connecting sound. The intro, "Inhale," is a two-piece lyrical sonnet in ode to life's endless desire to achieve more and the everyday stress that comes with it. Seemingly, Qualls quite literally needs to stop and take a breath. Track two presents a standout with "Ghost," which delivers a feeling of being untouchable with Mike Floss. Track four presents a more mellow beat where money is the topic of conversation with EV. "Ryan Montgomery," is another showing of penmanship and sound from the rising artist, spreading strong imagery in verses and laying an ambitious chorus. "To" appears to be Qualls' take on a love anthem where time is precious with a person of interest. Track ten, "These Days," is a therapeutic soulful trip touching on life and human connection. There's something for all hip-hop lovers in this project, as the sound throughout is a steady vibe, but the sonic scenery is plentiful.

Qualls is someone to put on your radar moving forward, and this project is a great addition to your new rap rotation. Stream Until We Meet Again below.
