Maki Adams is an artist to keep on your radar. The Los Angeles-based creative has steadily impressed over the last few songs, dialing in his vision with skills on both the instrumentation and vocal sides. Different elements of vulnerability are present throughout all of Adams' releases, where a string of words can be mentally draining yet soothing at the same time. Now returning for his second offering of 2022, Maki Adams drops "Both Sides / Skin&Bones."

The new pair of singles takes us deeper into the mind of Maki Adams for a state of reflection. "Both Sides," in collaboration with Bear, concerns a broken connection, painting adequate imagery with the mix of writing and sound. Mellow guitar strums set the tone, and the hook additionally stands out with a uniquely catchy overlay of pitched vocals and synths. "Skin&Bones" is a more somber-sounding tune, where Maki Adams acknowledges times where he could have been better in a relationship, and some of his actions led to a damaging conclusion.

Both songs hit the same side of Maki Adams' susceptibility, but each shows these emotions with different sounds and mannerisms. Get to know the bubbling artist and stream "Both Sides / Skin&Bones" below.
