Kwajo returns today for his new single and Trending Raps editorial debut. The DMV-based creative is slowly finding and creating his pockets of sound, and we get a chance to hear a medley of approaches that launch his artistry into new territories. This experimentation is a vital process for any artist, but even more in the early stages of a career where new trajectories and audiences can blossom. Kwajo's 2022 debut, "Inside Out," sparked the traction with an assembly of unique sounds, seemingly reinventing himself and his craft. Now turning the corner and breaking into a new zone, Kwajo releases "over and over."

The new single sees Kwajo accepting his humanity and keeping a humble attitude with recurring emotions. A dance-induced beat ignites a new direction for the artist as he sings in the chorus, "It's okay to be sad, there's no need to pretend, you can cry on a bike, you can cry in a Benz." Not only is this a self-reassurance for the artist, but the message is transparent for all listeners; it's okay to not feel okay. The verses catch the artist come face-to-face with these feelings, encountering fluctuating emotions and citing conversations that leave him questioning his mental. Kwajo later admits that he "lost" himself and he's searching to "find a way back," while encouraging himself and listeners to stay true to their persona and accept a helping hand. Kwajo's vulnerability stands at the forefront of this track, alongside the refurbished sound direction, engaging vocal tone, and growing knack for songwriting.
