What do you want to be when you grow up? That’s a question Johan Lenox presents, a multitalented musician from Massachusetts. Previously known best for his string work on major projects from Kanye West, Travis Scott, Nas, and more, the creative is now going strong with his personal artistic vision. Johan’s story is only just beginning to unfold, giving us all an intimate glimpse of life through the lens of a contemporary classical and pop blend on his new album WDYWTBWYGU.

The fifteen-track album clocks in at just below forty minutes and offers some of his most captivating, thought-provoking, and musically exciting work to date. The intro, “What’s Happening,” questions surprising realities and the price of life with KayCyy and Brooklyn Youth Choir. Tracks two through six (excluding the skit at track four) were all released as singles and are worth every second of your time and ears’ attention. “Aimless” distorts feelings and frequencies on a road with no destination. Track eight, "Hitting Different," questions time and reconditioned plans with support from charming production. "Burning Sky" comes in collaboration with Mr. Hudson, where the analogy of a sky on fire is used to compare this new future and passed time. The final offering, "Don't Wait For Me," sees Johan asking someone to quit being patient with him and his plans of avoiding growing up.

Johan's thematic new album is something everyone can relate to in days of changing uncertainty. Don't miss out; stream WDYWTBWYGU below.
