Jesse Boone Sees Both Sides on "Rubberband"

If you need music full of profound substance and satisfying sounds, Jesse Boone is the go-to name. The New York creative is building his exquisite style through a series of singles, and every release seems to uncover another side of his story, ingenuity, and talent. I featured Boone for his previous release, "When I'm Gone," which holds up as one of the most powerful tales of this year so far. Now returning to bring his friends and foes together in song, Jesse Boone releases "Rubberband."

The new offering touches base on the individuals present in his life; some friends, some foes, but both held close for various reasons. Boone asserts both sides help complete the person he's grown to be. Friends are needed for obvious reasons, and the artist seems to utilize their relationships as a timestamp of growth and success with them by his side. On the contrary, foes are also needed to measure Jesse Boone's evolution. As enemies (or perhaps lost friends) develop in numbers and reasoning, Boone understands he's gaining strength while narrowing a purpose and bigger picture. Friends stay in Boone's prayers, while anyone considered otherwise stays in a rubberband, close by but in no way prioritized.

Production from Park Ave is a beautiful complement to Boone's lyricism, with a mix of tinted soul in pads or keys and a flavorsome flute.

Jesse Boone's music is poetry that pleases the ears, and I'm looking forward watching him fourish. Don't miss out on "Rubberband" and check it below.
