Los Angeles-based collective grouptherapy. returns for more particular and out-of-the-box sounds. The trio of creatives can barely be categorized in any genre, as they touch new corners of rap, alternative, soul, and pop sounds with every release. Last year the group stayed busy, collaborating with artists like Rejjie Snow, Tinashe, and Cam O'bi to sharpen their catalog, expand their palette of sounds, and reach new audiences. Now back for an exciting full-length album to make their mark on 2022, grouptherapy. drops their dynamic new project Truth Be Told.

The new album is everything listeners would want out of the collective; unorthodox and refreshing sounds with vocals full of chemistry. The intro title track immediately provides a dose of flexibility from the group, where a chilled-out intro piece turns to an opposite spectrum of high-energy rap, then folds into an electronic-influenced outro. Track two, "Tangerine," is a previously released single where Jadagrace's lush vocals mesh with TJOnline's precise flow for a dreamy yet energetic voyage. Track three, "Tribal," shows more sonic diversity with a concoction of rap and rock influences from TJOnline and SWIM accompanying unique production. Track five, "Pink Papers," is off-kilter rap from Jadagrace, being one of the most impressive performance on the album. The final track, "Mistake," sees the group owning up to their mishaps in an attempt to change and find their way in a more conventional hip-hop manner.

The flexibility of this group and their vocals to fit this collection of soundscapes is impressive at the very least. Don't miss out on an exciting offering of sounds from grouptherapy. and stream Truth Be Told below.
